BoleroBoy, The 11kg bottle and locker fill sounds interesting. That was another option for me. I had measured my locker and reckoned I could fit the larger bottle in. Did you have to move the regulator and/or the low pressure pipe to get it in?
Rogher, For your information, Safefill say their bottle cannot be filled by a remote fill because it does not have a separate fill valve.

The SafeFill solution is the one I plan to use but I have not looked at the detail yet and was not planning to extend the filling point anyway. I think there is a safety valve that prevents reverse flow (out) whilst being filled and that is overcome as soon
as anything is connected to it (the gas filling hose or a POL connector). If that’s the reason why SafeFill say “it can’t be done” I’d have thought that placing the same kind of valve in the line extension would solve that. But, if SafeFill is unsuitable,
there’s always Alugas.0 -

They are a bit cheaper than Gaslow and the price is not that much different to Safefill when you look at the 'extras' you need.

Hi all Just spent a while looking at the Safefill system
as I am very keen to take advantage of the cost savings when filling up with gas compared to the current bottle exchange Gaslight and Calor system. Telephone the locations
as listed on the Safefill web page for refilling to check out the response, not over impressed and very glad I have not spent any money yet, I could only find one place in Exeter as listed that said that a refill is possible, another listed location no longer
provides LPG and could not contact the third location, did not try any more locations. Live in Plymouth and also tried none listed LPG / petrol stations that turned out to
be few and far between forecourts that sell LPG for cars.The reply when I did find a station that provides LPG for cars is that unless the filler point is completely separate from the container / cylinder and mounted
on to the caravan or motor home by secure means and that the container is permanently installed I will not be allowed to fill with LPG.Took a look at

UIS 026 document that also states the same as given by the LPG station, also contacted UKLPG and UIS 026 is still current.Thinking of Gaslow now but the refill locations seem the same as Safefill !!!
A real pity and a shame as the refill LPG cost is about

We have Gaslow cylinders in our caravan, the filling point is fitted in the side wall of the front gas locker.
No filling station has said we cannot fill up in the 4 years we have had the system.
We went for 2 x 6kg fixed cylinders to avoid any filling problems.

Write your comments here...we also have x2 11Kg bottles with an external filling point - fitted last year.
Within the Norfolk area and beyond we typically use BP and or Shell and have never been refused.
