Hi, are there any restrictions on what colour hook up lead you use?

Thanks Paul, (new to Caravanning)

I don't think so I have seen blue / grey etc but I prefer orange because it shows up better in the grass when they use the mowers

I do not think there is an thing that says they must be a certain colour ,but they are normally orange so they stand out ,and are more visible ,which make them less likely to be tripped over or damaged by grass cutting equipmentSurprised

There is an accepted convention, for externally used cable. Orange is 230 volt, yellow 110volt and blue is cold weather cable (more flexible)

I use a black one that came with a Knaus van about 10 years ago. Much more flexible and easier to handle than the orange ones .

We have several 'orange' cables.  The older ones tend to be bordering on the yellow!!  Laughing
