Surely the actual bottles of wine should be at the top of the list. Bottle opener no use without something to open.

Did you get them for Trade Descriptions???
Sorry back to OP - don't go too complicated until you really know what you want - did someone mention the EHU orange cable? Yes they had. Spirit level isn't all that essential a glass of water works quite well too! I always regret taking too much food - prefering to buy local - ..... but you never know when you might need a meal without venturing out.

Car
but don't forget a small spirit level for levelling.
In case you forget, or loose it. If you have a smart phone, make sure you have a spirit level app on it. Ours came with one already installed. Have found it useful on a couple of occasions.

I have spirit level permanently fixed to my a-frame, so vital when sitting, agree with comment about checking laterally before detaching from car

a compass is also very useful, for checking where the sun is going to rise and for your sat dish, there's an app for that too

Ooh I like quizzes, I reckon ET uses a bucket for waste water and an EHU lead is the one item he takes.

Well, I'm in the middle of kitting out my first caravan (don't pick the van up until the 10th september)
Here's what I've figured out so far...
Spare break-away cable.
Battery (115Ah, I've got a motor mover)
Kettle
Toaster
Gorge Foreman grill
Microwave (I've living in luxery)
No need for TV have tuner for my laptop (might get TV later)
25 Meter EHU Cable.
Aqua-roll (40L) and WasteMaster
Lock 'N level (instead of ramp)
Hitch lock and wheel lock.
spirit level
Carafoot feet for corners.
CaraStack - blocks to allow steadies to work better when wheel is raised by leveller.
Toilet chemials (blue and pink)
Toilet Roll
Dust pan and brush
Tea towel
Plastic dining set and Cutlery
Sharp knives
Scissors
Washing up liquid
Bottle opener and cork screw.
Bedding.
Of course is this not forgetting
Food, drink and clothing.

We are still "spirit of adventure" tourers, and like to travel light! That's with both MH and Caravan!

I like the idea from a space saving point of view. However, earlier in the year, I rented a motor home for a week. As part of that rental they suppllied an metal double step to get in and out of the van. The week went past fine, but when I came home and
was unloading the van (lots of trips in and out) one of the times the step sprung out from under me. As a result, I'll be looking to get myself the widest plastic double step possible so as to minimise the risk of falling. I do remember it being painful
landing on the pavent outside my house. Luckily my ankle only for a minor sprain, could have been alot worse.0
