Two Meets and Two sets of dates.

24th to 29th December 2016  Devizes C&CC site

A lovely site with all facilities, place next to the Kennet and Avon Canals famous flight of locks.  At the entrance of the road to the site is a pub that sell excellent food. (booking is advisable)  over the Chistmas period both food and drink flows, with all attendees contributing to the meals.( till receipts kept and the total cost is then split equally amongst us).

Due to it being Christmas the site can be very busy, so early booking is advised.

29th December- 3rd January 2017  Longleat CC site

This Meet coincides with the famous Longleat festival of light. Set in the ground of Longleat, there is lots to see and do, plus various local villages and small towns, shopping spree's are possible.

It is hoped that New Years Eve will close with a firework display, but full details are not available yet, but I am sure, the attendee's will be suitably fed and watered for any occasion.

Due to the sites getting fully booked, Early booking is advisable.

Yes I did have a read!  We are going new year so we can see the Festival of light! Should be a brillant display! They also have a firework display to end the evening.

i do know that once in the site, there are now turnstiles to stop you going round the grounds etc, which is a recent thing, but hey! There are plenty of places to visit and see local to Longleat!

Undecided , Hmmm, It seemed to me to be a VERY child orchestrated theme !! Hopefully something around the area may be a little more entertaining
for us,,as you say !! .Cool.

The festival of light is at the front of the house, the site is at the rear, so you wont actually see any of it unless you pay to go through the turnstiles.

There are towns local as well as tourest attractions such as Cheddar Gorge, whookey hole, Wells, not far from many NT properties as well as the famous hill used for the Hovis advert at Shaftsbury.

From what I understand, Devizes for Christmas still has a few potches left, however Longleat is booked solid now.
