Yorkshire Tour July/August time
Hi all, I've never spent any leisure time in Yorkshire and as there is nothing much else going on in July I thought it might be a nice month to do a trip around some of Yorkshire. I'm planning on somehting like Knaresbrough, 'cos I've never been to Harrogate
and want to see what it is like, Warfdale, North Yorkshire Moors (whitby) ending up at Scarborough for a bit of seaside. I did think about Bridlington but in high season that site is a bit pricy. Does anyone else have any ideas or views on the sites?

You may need to book early for July! I have had difficulty on a few occasions. It's a wonderful county with masses to see if you can find somewhere to stay? Jane and I did Bridlingoon last year but off peak. I used the other club to visit York. Bolton Abbey is a lovely area and site but that site gets booked up esp. Weekends. Hebden Bridge is nice site but won't use again as bad for dogs! Let me know your plans and I might join you if life ever settles a bit here!

I had noticed that some sites get booked up quickly that is why I'm sorting out something for July now. Anyway, I've done it details are: Knaresborough is a good site for visiting Harrogate which I especially want to do, arrive 24th July Dep 27th. This
site has its non electric and no awning pitches fully booked for July so anyone wanting to join had better book quickly. Next is North Yorkshire Moors, (Whitby) Arr 27th July Dep 2 Aug. Attractions are Whitby itself, Robin Hoods Bay, and North Yorkshire
Moors. I'm taking my bike and plan on using it quite a bit (weather permitting). Finally Scarborough Arr 2 Aug Dep 5th. I've been there a couple of times on business but never had the time to explore it fully and it always struck me as a really nice traditional
sea side town. Total trip is 12 days at a cost of £193.80 plus food and gin/wine ofcourse. I hope some of you fancy the trip, I'm quite looking forward to it already.0 -
Unfortunately I can't make these dates as I'm going down to Devon, but hope to meet up with some of you over the summer holidays from college.
Write your comments here... That's a shame - hope to meet you at some point!

I was really looking forward to this tour but I'm afraid I'm going to have to cancel it. My recent problems with a dose of cellulitis and a couple of weeks in hospital has meant that as well as missing the South Wales tour I have not been able to do the
things I need to get done for my new conservatory so am not going to be able to do the Yorkshire tour either. The Best laid plans of mice and men etcetera. I'm still hoping that I'll be able to get a few days at Scarbrough and after that Devon but for the
time being my touring days are totally on hold.0 -
So sorry to hear you're missing your holiday. I hope all goes well with the conservatory and that you manage to get away somewhere soon!
