HappyHi everyone, I have booked me and the kids to stay at Hillhead in Brixham as Dartmouth is holding its Regatta during those dates.
This is an excellent event for the locals and tourists.  Rowing races, market stalls, fairground rides, also, weather dependant, there is usually an aircraft display and fireworks of an evening.  I cant wait!  A great excuse to spend a week away in the van

Hi, I'm planning to head south during last 2 weeks in August, so I might put in a couple of days there!

I'll look forward to seeing you there.  I'm booked in from 26th to 30th to visit my son and grandchildren in Ivybridge but having 'friends' on the camp site gives me an excuse to get away when the daughter-in-law starts to get on my nerves.  I'm then going
on to North Devon,  not quite sure where yet but I thought I'd get this booked as I suspect it will fill up with the bank holiday being on 29th.

When the regatta is on there is a great bus service from right outside the site (they use the field opposite as a park &ride)to and from Kingswear for Dartmouth,If you want a good view of air display and fireworks stay on the Kingswear side, you will, need ear defendersSurprised

Not been a lot of activity on here recently but it looks like four of us at least with Rosies booked in too. It'll be a nice little meet.  I'm thinking I might go on to another little site for a few days. Smedmore House, it sounds rather nice, peaceful and
relaxing and with a beach that is part of the estate to go fossil hunting on.

Peter please let me know how the fossil hunting goes - I want to do some f hunting somewhere.  Unfortunately won't be able to join you there though at that time.

I've just had to cancel this trip.  My leg problems have decided that now would be a good time to flare up again.  Doc says that he would prefer it if I stayed within easy contact range of him whilst I'm back on antibiotics.  I'm really starting to get a
bit fed up with it.  This is another planned meet that I'm going to miss.

We are booked on Hillhead from 28th to 4th August.

Hope the weather improves, it is a long way from East Yorkshire if not brilliant.

Write your comments here...Peter was having trouble at Norden, Corfe Castle.  I know someone who had a similar reaction as Peter which took two years before his leg was back to good!

I got cellutitis in my face in May after an op, its not too bad now the swelling has gone, but even that sometimes still aches!

human bodies are such a pain!
