I've never been on a CCC site before, do they allocate pitches or is it just a case of turn up and find your own like the caravan club does and do they give any extra help for little groups like us organising pitches in the same area? I'm due at Malvern
on 30th Aprill. I was in the area and it seemed daft to come all the way back home for just three days so I booked in at the Malvern site from the 30th..0 -
Peter, like Meg said, they allocate pitches. Last New Year we arrived and they put us togther as there was just the 3 of us, however, Solos is designed so you can park where you want! Someone may say toilets near is essential, other a grass pitch or dog walk near, this is why we do not group book, everyone books independently!
I will be posting my pitch number on the thread for break away, so people willknow where to find me rather than Solos sign hunting!
I know Sandie will be on the CC site, myself and Carolyn are with you on the C&CC site, I am not sure about the others, but the sites are right next door to each other, we share the same enterance road!

The packing has started, two weeks to the 'off'. I must remember to pack my Friday ticket to the show.
I have google earthed the area, there appears to be a butchers and a post office/ general stores at the pond area in Hanley Swan, I would say a supermarket at Malvern??
As soon as I know my pitch number in the C&CC site I will let you all know!
{ Please forgive my intrusion }
You are quite correct Viv, the shops you mention are on diagonally opposite corners of the cross roads. The pond has willow trees, ducks & a couple or so benches where you can rest whilst eating your icecreams ! If my
memory serves me well, its about half to three quarters of a mile but there is a bus stop right by the entrance to the site . There was also caravan accessory store not too far away ( with details in the C C info room.)Brian

Thanks to Pauline (and others who have also volunteered their services) between us we should be able to keep Solos on CT up to date for Vivien, I was very late home today and couldn't access via my phone during the day. But a team is now in place

If no one else is around I will certainly be there to help if you need it. I'm going to the Malvern site today, though which site are you on. I assume that as you say arriving at 1 it will be the C&CC site and that is the one I'm off to this morning.
See you soon. Peter.0 -
Hope you all have a good trip, and that the weather improves for you

So far just me, Carolyn, Rosies(Jane) and Vivien turned up such a shame 'cos the weather here is terrific. Wall to wall blue sky and a big shiny thing floating around in the middle of it. Trouble is with the RHS show on down the road I understand that both the
C&CC and next door CC sites are fully booked from tomorrow. .0 -
Glorious sunshine here!! Off to the RHS show tomorrow to spend all my money!
