    Thankd ABM and Peedee

We visited Brooks-Miller up in Elland the other week to look at the Wildax after they said it would not be on display at the NEC again. (It was at the last show)

We are going to visit Coachbuilt who did the work on our current van, and also a company called Nirivana (also in Hall 1). They have a new caravan for wheelchair use.

Just  one  point,  Dave & Vicki,  there  are  two  sets  of  steps / stairs  between  the  Halls  and  the  disabled / wheelchair  access  between  the  different  levels  is  only  from  the  main   Piazza  area.

I'd  hate  you  to  get  halfway  round  &  have  to  retrace  your  steps  --  its  far  enough  around  as  it  is  !!

    Brian

Thanks Brian, we learnt that at a previous show.Frown

...Good for you ,is the dealer local to you?we were offered a good deal to change by a distant dealer, which was matched by our local dealer (after a haggle) so we now have a six mile tow to change in april (Bailey again Pegasus Genoa, nearest we will get to the continentCool)

Back home now.. licking our wounds and eating cheese.  Caravan bought from Raymond James, about 4 miles away from us - and the place we use for servicing, so no problem about collecting/ warranty etc.

All the latest Baileys now come with internal tpms balanced wheels, but not the Tyrepal monitor,so we got one after some haggling for £70

The batteries are expected to last a least 5yrs (the life of the tyres?) then the tpms has to be replaced

I think we'll put that on a wish list for another day JBV.  I need a lie down now!  We only went to have a look at the Thule awnings as Another David recommend them.  We liked them but then though it seemed a bit of a shame to have a new awning installed
on an old van... well the rest of the story can be pieced together!!

    Hi David

Hope you are going to enjoy the Omnistor as much as we do ours, my only regret is that we didnt buy a bigger one but it has forced us to be a bit more tidy than when we had the huge conventional one.

    David

Thanks for helping me spend lots of money David. LaughingLaughingLaughing.
We've ordered the 4.5m - the same size as our Rollaway, so it should be the same for us.  I showed John Rose your write up of when he did yours - he was amazed to realise he was on the Internet Laughing.
I think he ought to put you on commission!  The mark up must be incredible on these - but I suppose installation, time and travel is taken into account.

Thanks, once more for your help and advice.

    David

It was a lot of money but the price we paid at the NEC was significantly less than the website catalogue  price and that included fitting it at our home.

Likewise David.  We've saved on the list price on the Rose website. The plan is that John Rose will come up and fit the awning at the Caravan dealers - which is only 15 minutes down the road from us. We will pick up the van 'all complete' as it were.

Went up on Thursday with a promise (present Lady Wife not well so on my own Cool) not to spend anythingInnocent well that 'promise' didn't last long - spent £144 with TyrePal/ Wheel Solutions one TC215B and a set of security wheel bolts, a really helpful and nice company to talk to and do business with.

Some advice from Reich on how to adjust my mover another nice company to deal with, very helpful consideraing I was not placing an order for anything.

All in all a fruitful visit but will I go up next time round? I doubt but not promising anything.

Oh yes I enjoyed the BBQ cooking demo on the C&CC  stand a most pleasant, enjoyable and informative half hour.
