NEC Show Feb 2016 - will you attend?
From a suggestion by D S B , I'll ask the question :--
Will any of you be at the show next week ?? I will be there on Tuesday and will pop onto the Club Stand for a rest about 1.30 to 2.00. Hope to meet loads of you with loads of bits n bobs even if you dont run
to a new 'van

No. Why would I go all that way when I have already been to the Scottish show earlier this year? Nice to see some of our staff allowed out from their day jobs!

Having bought a new van at the end of 2014, the only real reason would have been to buy accessories etc. But have gained the impression in recent years that there are less bargains to be had at the shows these days.
Or is that just an impression?

I'm actually away in my caravan so won't be there.

We have a new van so no need to make the long trek this year, even though I do enjoy it as a day out

You beat me too it ABM. Had a busy last evening and morning..
If we go, it will be on Wednesday, but it could very well be a last minute decision. It's not far for us to travel to the NEC - about 25 minutes max - but it all depends on getting a dog sitter! Hope we can get there - I always like to go and have a look.
Anyone else for Wednesday?

subject to change but.....tuesday at the NEC, travel back to Travelworld and spend the night there (free, of course) and take in their 'show' which is running parallel to the one at the NEC, so a chance to get up close and personal with a nice juicy N+B,
or Hymer........after that, might spand a few days touring around the west midlands, etc....

Going on the Saturday certainly won't be buying a new caravan but love looking in the new ones and the motorhomes. Enjoyed it all last year and thought I'd got away lightly only spending about fifty quid until two months later I purchased a new awning and
motormover influenced by the show!0 -
Yes, we are going on Tuesday. Have a list of accessories that we need and hoping there will be a good selection on show. We are staying near the Merry Hill shopping centre about 15 miles away and catching up with some old friends who live locally that we
haven't seen for several years.0 -
My partner & I are attending on the Wednedsday 24th, on a previous visit I had a funny do and ended up in the medical room after some excellent treatment they lent us a wheelchair and we continued to view the exibits. Our Clubman was purchased at the Lunar
stand 2 years ago. We are coming down this year by Virgin train hoping my credit card stays in my wallet.0 -

Well pick up your Show Guide ( usually FREE ! ) in the entrance hall before going into the show. Spend ten minutes working out your route round !.
I normally turn left immediately inside the Entry Point and "walk the walls" with occasional detours into the centre. Then I take a lunchtime break on the Club Stand allowing me a half hour to check on anything I might have missed, then head for those things I saw, wanted but refused to hump all round the entire N.E.C. { Certain Cheeses come to mind !! }
What ever you do do, take a break or three, its not a Forced March !!

Travelling along the M6 and M1 on Wednesday morning there were many caravans, motorcaravans & parkhomes on flatbed trucks. We guessed they were all headed to the show! Wish I could attend but chores are awaiting! Hope all going have a wonderful time, mind!
