awning wind out is very low at 230cm any help would be appreciated before i spend a fortune on the wrong awning.would idealy like a air awning cheers to every one George

There is a picture here with an awning fitted

    Majestic with Awning

Looks like you have to fit one that fits further to the rear so the door misses the struts. Fiamme do an F65 which fits higher up. The one on our Laika sits just above the roof line.

the thing with the above picture link is that the awning has to be maintained in a horizontal position, where most would deploy them on a slight downward angle for rain dispersal etc..

any change from the horizontal will cause fouling on the door.

also, if you want to slide the whole awning backward to avoid the door it rather misses the point (the door is exposed) and as the van is so short, the resulting awning would be tiny.....

our awning is glued to the curved roofline well above the habitation door line, so can be deployed on a downward angle without fouling the door.

perhaps something similar? ours is a Thule omnistore.

not quite the same van, but the awning mounting can be clearly seen here

I did also suggest the Fiamme F65 which is similar to the picture of the Cathcargo but I think even that would foul the door when opening unless you were very careful with where you fitted it. Bit of a design problem Worried
