Alde heating question
Is there some sort of pressure release valve on the system. Every hour or so I get what sounds lke a sudden release of pressure but can't identify exactly where it is coming from. Help welcomed.

There is an automatic air bleed valve on the boiler could be this if you have any air in the system. Try bleeding the system.
Or if you have not drained the hot water down for a while you could need to do that as if the system is in continuous use for about 4 weeks it is recommended to drain fresh water out to presserve its pressurised air cushion within the heat exchanger.
Hope that helps.

If it sounds like pressure being released then it will be the automatic valve on the boiler.
Losing the air cushion in the HW tank does not cause any noise like that.
Are you losing any glycol fluid? Is it still between MIN and MAX when cold? If you have lost fluid then the valve may be faulty and allowing the fluid to escape, we had this problem with ours.

no, I'm loosing no glycol at all! The van has a Siemens thermostat in the bedroom and a heat exchanger on the engine side. As you can probably see, I'm stumped with this one! Water is very hot too even when turned off!

With the Alde, you cannot really turn off the hot water, not unless you also turn off the space heating.
If you have water in the water system, it will get heated if you are using the space heating, even if the thermostat has turned off the heating pump.
The little tap symbol is only to be turned on if you want super-hot water.

thanks KjellNN, I was aware of this. It's a brilliant system mind. Particularly like the transfer of heat from the engine, even in seasonally cold weather we arrive at site with a toasty habitation. The van has no cold spots and with the silversreen on no
'draughts' either. The ability to zone temps and have night and day settings is a real plus too. Just wish I could eliminate that occasional venting sound.0 -
The van's going back to the dealers next week for some work so just phoned up to add this to their list of things to address. Already been in for amber alerts on the Alde panel and they will look at this again. Maybe this issue I describe as 'venting' may be related. I just hope they listen to the 'symptoms' I describe and note. Will update as and when.

Which Alde system have you got?
We have the 3020 and recently had the sensors replaced that was giving us 'pulsing' in the system. Our symptoms were when we switched the panel on the header tank would show fluid pulsing right up the range of the header tank, not the usual 'bubbling'. This
was bringing up Red and Amber errors warnings on the panel.Worth calling Alde to go through things, very helpful. But they close at 1pm for the weekend. Number is 01933677765 not as printed in the handbook!!
