Hi we have just set off on a 12 month tour of the UK and need advice on purchasing an all round full awning. It looks like a mine field so i need your help as i am sure there are people on the road throughout the year and have already researched this for
their trip. We already have a light weight Kampa awning but feel a gust of wind over 30 mile and hour would rip it off the van!

Thanks for any advise

One word Isabella , expensive but worth it. i have a Magnum porch and a universal coal for winter not a full awning but at 410cm x 230cm ample big enough and you can also get an inner roof for extra warmth

Not really what the OP was asking BB he asked for advice on what awning, not if he should deploy it or not. That choice is up to the individual.

Agree with getting Isabella (or Ventura if your budget is tighter). We have a Ventura Marlin for winter and if used with Isabella storm straps has never let us down in some very windy conditions.

Also have a look at the Dorema Quattro porch awnings. I have one with the pole ungrade and they also have an additional set of 'winter' poles.

Before even reading replies I was thinking Isabella! I have a Magnum Porch. We hardly bother with the full awning now- we only use the full awning if family join us. I would certainly recommend a good strong PORCH awning with storm straps - not so much for
any wind to get a grip of!
