Maybe because many of us have plumped for the Kampa Air beam awnings!
...Well you did ask!
(and I figure if you are posting a 'free advert' you expect to take the rough with the smooth!)
Having said that, if you want to send me one, I will willingly undertake an in depth review for you!

Most air awnings that are for our van are heavy compared to our isabella with light weight frame ,but as already said if you would like a real indepth review instead of the quick put up, look, take down as in "magazine" reviews

I've just bought one!!!
We will be trying it out tomorrow and will post my review as soon as.
one problem l have already encounted was buying the right size for my van,l visited your website and put in my make and model, this gave me the size l required.l ordered that size from my local dealer but when collecting he double checked on the size with
us, Bradcot still was saying we had ordered the correct size on the web site, but because a previous customer had had a problem with it fitting for the same size van as mine, thought he would ring Bradcot and double check for us, upon doing this he was told
we needed a different size if we wanted it to fit correctly!!!!This meant we needed another combination set up and another section (costing us more), luckily our supplier had the right sizes in as we had waited a month for the wrong size to arrive.

I have been looking on sites at these newer air awnings and have come to several conclusions from my observations, please correct me if I am wrong. They take as long to put up as a standard awning. They seem to look firm and rigid when first put up. When the weather is warm and sunny they still look well inflated.however when the weather is damp or the air pressure changes then they look soft and floppy and look in need of a touch of extra air.The windows begin to look creased and the pegs look as though they are in the wrong place, and the panels look saggy.I realise that standard awnings need to be checked and the pegs often need a little extra hammering but these new awnings seem to be extra work encompassing. Right or wrong? SG2

We watched our neighbour put up a new Bradcot Air awning last week and it took four of them most of the morning to get it anything like right and, after many phone calls, he's still not happy with it.

We have a Bradcot Air Aspire 260 and find it perfect for us. Once we had found the right connector for the pump (several supplied) it was straightforward. And of course easier to do the next time. It's always stayed firm and very "solid". A week of wind and rain at New England Bay earlier this year caused no problems. We never had to touch it or adjust once it was up
For us, it is better than fiddling about with poles.

after buying the Bradcot modul air awning and trying it out for the first time last week,we was very impressed but also disappointed.
We are complete novices at caravaning, we picked up our brand new van on Friday and went to collect our awning, after finally getting the right size for our van off we went.
We read through the instructions ( it could have done with having a few diagrams to help explain the process) we found the awning very easy to put up, but it did not look right....After another day at looking at it again we realised that it did not fit our
van correctly, we ordered our caravan from Germany and the door is on the opposite side meaning the slope of our van was to the right and not to the left.we contacted our supplier who then contacted Bradcot on our behalf and found out they don't do one to
fit our van,if we was to have the full size ( and that's why we opted for this awning as we wanted the option to have a part or full awning)We are that impressed with the awning on how it looks and the ease of putting up and taking down we are going to keep it and not have the front slope. We had many admiring looks from other campers and questions on the awning we could not praise it enough,l
just hope that some time in the future they may make a sloping front to fit my van.1 -
We have a 390 Module-Air. Only used twice so far but having difficulty getting the LH end (looking towards the van) to seal against the side of the van. The instructions say that the packers to creat the seal shoul be positioned at the very top behind the air pole, this can be done on the RH packer but there is no material on the LH packer to fit behind the pole? Any suggestions from Bradcot or other owners would be appreciated.

Hi Wedgy,
The left and right sides of the Modul-Air are in fact both the same, one is simply the "opposite hand" to the other.
I have attached a picture which may help. If it does not maybe you could call our Customer Services or, if preferable, your local dealer who may be able to assist.
You could always send us some photo's of the problem, these are always helpful in identifying and issues.

Hi Bradcot,
High jacking the thread a little here, can I ask what to do about the back pole for my Aspire Air 260 I bought new last August. On its second use the spring that keeps the 2 half's attached has come out?
Thanks, Ian.

Hi Bradcot thanks for your response, I appreciate what you say and will re check your pics against my Modul Air on our next trip out and come back to you with my findings. Just had a closer look at the pics and I am wondering if these show the Aspire Air version rather than the Module Air ? I can't see the zip to remove the end section shown. Thanks again for your assistance thus far. Pete

Just picked up a brand new unused Isabella Transit (modular) with the additional sides and front for about about a third of the price they were three or four years ago. Sad that Isabella stopped making them. I got it from Broadlane Leisure who had a few for some reason.
We debated long and hard about an air awning before deciding the Isabella would be easier and lighter to handle.

Well spotted Wedgy, it is an Aspire Air 2 in pic. As long as the zip is fully closed up the Modul-Air and Aspire Air become almost the same, certainly for the purpose of investigating this issue. The only real difference is the packer on the Modul-Air attaches to the top of the awning with Velcro but is fixed (sewn in) on the Aspire Air.
Sorry, the only suitable picture I have.

Hi Ian,
I hate "joining springs" especially when it has snapped and is stuck in your finger.
Give the office a call and they will send you a couple of spares. Easily fitted, just pushed in with a large screwdriver.
To remove the old one, put your heel on the spring that is hanging out and keep pulling up the pole until it comes out. The old spring fixing "butterfly's" can stay in the pole.
Not very scientific I know but that's how we do it.

Thanks for the reply, I'll give them a call today.
Ian.

Hi Bradcot hope you are still following this thread. We have finally managed to get away and try the awning again, we are having the same problem even with the Velcro attached. It looks and feels like there is enough material top and bottom but not enough in the centre of the end panels. We have tried for two hours but cannot get the awning to lay flat against the side of the Van ! We have had lots of different awnings over the years but never had this problem. Please see the pics and give your comments

Looking at your photos, You haven't pegged the bottom, back corners slightly under the caravan? in the instructions for my Aspire Air 260 it tells you to do this and it pulls the back edges nearer to the side of the caravan.
Also, are you using/have the back poles? again, on mine, once you have put the flat end in the small pocket at the top you can then use the pole to push the cushion back against the caravan and peg it to the ground, I believe the earlier Air model (which I have) is the same as the Modual in that respect.

Hi Wedgy,
Have you tried setting up the whole of the "side to caravan" before inflating the awning?
We are beginning to think that, contrary to our instructions, a better fit is achieved by doing this.
We have a draft here of how to utilise this method which I can gladly email to you to try. I have done it this way and have to say I find it easier if slightly more fiddly but the end result is far better.
Drop an email to info@bradcot-awnings.co.uk, put Wedgy in the mail so we know who it is and I will arrange for the copy to be sent.
We would normally attach a copy within the discussion but as our Jury is still out on the matter it may be too early to do so just yet.

Hi Milo I can assure you the corners are under the van and double pegged due to the strain caused by tryingto achieve a snug fit to the side of the van which at the moment is impossible also the back poles are actually in posi on the pic but you wouldn't know it !
Bradcot thanks for the reply ,I will email as suggested,I assume that by "side to caravan you mean pegging all the way from underneath the van to the front corners prior to inflation? Am I. Or react I thinking that the problem I have is not uncommon? Regards Pete

I don't doubt what your saying but in the 3rd picture (which I copied and zoomed in on) It is pegged away from the Caravan. When I peg mine I have to put the pegs in at an angle 4 or more inches under the caravan. this then allows the rubber ladders to pull the awning against the side.
Unless I'm missing something you have just pegged it in a vertical position
I have cropped a picture of mine, best I can find, (see second picture below) pegged just under the side of the caravan which makes a very good seal. This picture is my old Coachman Amara. I am now using it on my New Elddis Avante. Because of the window arrangement on the Elddis I have no choice but to have the side towards the rear coming down across the window but I can still get the cushion to make a good seal. Hope this is helpful

Hi Wedgy,
When you get the crib sheet all should be clear but in the meantime;
Peg the bottom of the "packer" slightly under the caravan as mentioned by Milo, connect the Velcro at the top of the packer, fit the pole including putting the foot of the pole into the secondary ladder at the point at which you have pegged, peg the front corners and, if preferred, at each main beam ensuring you keep the sides and across the front taut to establish the awnings footprint, check as before that the main beams are on top of the packer and then inflate. Whilst inflating it is vital that you assist the rising up of the awning or it may try and inflate under the caravan.
That's the abridged version but should suffice if your are on site now. The crib sheet is more in depth so might be better to await receipt of this.
Thanks for the input from Milo, very helpful.

Hi Bradcot
Been following this thread with interest as we've been having the same problems. Emailed you Sunday for more info and guidance, but had no reply as yet.

Hi Bush family I am awaiting a reply from Bradcot following my attempt to rectify the problem regarding awning not sealing against the caravan. I will post again when I get a reply but the MD I have been communicating with is away until the 26th and my copy to the general Bradcot site has gone without a reply. Please keep an eye on this thread as it may prove advantageous. Sorry to be rather cryptic but please bear with me.
