Fridge electrolux 4271

Hi my name is Mandy, I have an electrolux rm4271 fridge. It is working on gas, but I can't seem to get it working on mains. The mains light comes on, so there is power, any ideas really appreciated, thank you.

  From your description i would say the 230volt element has failed.
