We have a new caravan on order that has an enamelled sink. I don't want to use a washing up bowl in it for fear of scratches to the surface and wondered if anyone has one of the Joseph Joseph protectors from Lakeland and whether they are any good? If not
can anyone suggest a product that will do the job.

Thanks Bod

I've got a few of their things in the kitchen, very nice and so far they've lasted well.

Amazon was cheaper than what I'd seen in shops, if that helps?

Thanks. We have bought one today from Lakeland and agree these products seem good quality - will try it at home first! Biggest problem was trying to get out without breaking the bank - will take your advice and check out Amazon.

I've bitten the proverbial bullet and bought one of their washing up bowls. It is on little legs and has a plug of its own with a sieve bit to catch any debris (am sure there's a proper name for it). Bought one for the house too and it's great. Will hopefully
make caravan sink logistics much easier. Costs a fortune (about £25!!), but worth it to me.

Harts of Stur does lots of Joseph Joseph stuff and might sit easier on the conscience than Amazon.

Bought a new coachman vip 575 in December, came as standard with the Joseph drainer, don't rate it very highly but would recommend the sink protector also sold at Lakeland to protect the enamelled sink.

Thanks gasman. That looks like the same sink as the Pastiche so hopefully I have got things right. I agree about the drainer because our current van has a stainless steel sink and drainer which we are going to miss! Circumstances have forced us into changing
the van but a lot has changed in 5 years!!

I was amazed when we collected our Affinity back in 2014 to see that Elddis had taken an enormous backward step by fitting enamelled sinks!

These were 'dropped' years ago for use ithe kitchens because of their ability to chip so easily.

There again this manufacturer also fitted an ineffective 'stick' for an aerial!

As ever, it's style over substance.
