Smart TV for motorcaravan/caravan

Just looking to replace an old TV. Anyone know of an 18 to 22 inch Smart TV. Doesn't have to be12volt?

    I’m not sure that I know what ‘Smart’ means in this context. If you want cheap, I believe that Aldi and Lidl come up TVs from time to time. They often accept 12V DC, too.

    I think anything with "smart" in its name is just to prove how inadequate that some of the operatives areWink

    Cheers folk, TV with built in Internet access ability (smartTV) Is what I'm considering. Those Samsungs look good HD! Not bad price too. Had thought about an Apple TV box but that is just more cables and extra power socket needed.

    Obviously you need a decent internet connection to make full use of all the "smart" features. Most of the sites we have been on struggle to supply a decent connection speed to keep Iplayer from buffering all the time.

    the other issue is lack of a decent keyboard for setting up networks....normally this is done once at home....but if you are thnking of connecting to various cc sites' wifi, wont this require logging in each time etc...?

    in the end, you womt be able to use its features as the bandwitch isnt good enough....

    I have a dongle which seems to stream to my iPad okay when signal is good! Thought this might work with the Smart TV. Anybody tried this?

    micky, buy an 'ipad to hdmi' lead and continue as you are (with dongle and ipad) but with the display now being shown on your mh tv....effectively a 'smart tv' for peanuts....

    TV rather than the iPad? Will it display everything this way, including apps and iplayer, Netflix etc.?  Happy

    youll need to change the "source' on the tv to 'hdmi' (if it doesnt switch automatically) and then it just becomes a monitor for the ipad, displaying whatever is being accessed....email, internet, apps etc..

    Thanks BB, just been on the Internet, Apple's cable is very expensive compared to some very cheap alternatives, which are 'best' in your opinion? Do they all do the same job?

    If it’s just a cable, it’ll either work or not. For occasional use, I’d give the cheap one a try.

    Found the solution! An Apple TV box, without wifi it will let me watch, listen, play programes, films, apps from my iPad. With wifi it turns the TV into a Smart one. Cheapest £55, if you go with Chromcast which does much the same £35.
