About 8th December - somebody will be more accurate
You never know - they might actually listen and put it on a weekend to allow those who work more opportunity to acces......or maybe not!

Good afternoon,
UK Bookings for travel dates, after the 17th March 2017, can be made on Wednesday 7th December from 08.00.
Kind regards .
Kimberley
so, Kimberley, an old chesnut but what is the CC reaction to the eminently sensible BMB post immediately above yours..?.
ie, why cant the club open bookings on a weekend when more working folk are able to have the same opportunity to grab the honey pot sites as us pensioners.....without having to take a day off work to do so....?
please dont cite non-valid reasons like the booking office isnt open.....CC is a service industry....lets start serving....

Surely the actual day is irrelevant, someone's always going to claim to be disadvantaged.
The 12 month rolling programme introduced by the C&CC this year would help avoid the pre-Christmas frenzy!
(But, hey, let's not start this debate all over again. There are enough threads going round and round in circles as it is!)

Leaving it as a weekday is fine by me
Im sure it is, as it is for me and very many others....but most of these and a whole lot more would get an equal chance on a weekend, which they definitely dont on a week day....
moving it to a weekend doesnt preclude those who are 'available' 7 days a week from getting that same chance, but on a different day....

But I'm not into equality, I want to be advantaged now having drawn the short stick for all those years. It's my turn now

fair enough, nice to have a bit of 'me' i guess

Leaving it as a weekday is fine for me, or changing to a weekend is fine too as I certainly won't be bothering to try and book a club site at that time of the year.

Likewise, as a CL user 95% of the time I have never used this booking time and never will. So in reality, for me, it can be any day of the week.

I could not care less what day of the week is picked. However, we at least do book sites on booking day, which is more than most who are advocating change.I am sure the CC have a good reason for picking Wednesday the 7th December and they will be along
to enlighten us shortly.0 -

so why your odd response to the same question a bit earlier?

It does read a little odd as I omitted the word 'probably' before never will, should have proof read it first
But if I did ever use the Dec booking system I would like it to stay as it is, to advantage me.

We only use booking day for one specific "honey pot" site. We like to go their at the bank holidays as it's reasonably close and a few additional weekends. I have to get into work 35 miles away for before 8am to get sorted. Come on CC - a rolling programme
or a weekend. We aren't all retired.0 -

Write your comments here...so you go out of the house to go to work 1 day a year at the same time as the rest of us? What hardship is it, surely getting up in the week for work then laying in at the weekend is what its all about, not getting up all week then having to get up early at the weekend as well?
No doubt you could log on at 9 or 10 and still get what you wanted, we always do if we book in advance and mostly we do not use the booking opening day but much later and always get what we want.

There are some things that are sold out before 10:00 on booking day. It very much depends on what dates you are trying to book.

The weekends get booked up more or less straightaway on booking day for this particular site. We ocassionally get a last minute cancellation on a Tuesday afternoon for the following weekend but we don't want to risk it hence we choose to book that particular
site only on booking day.0 -
Each to their own, obviously, but, personally I can't think of anything worse than booking a "honeypot" CC site when it's going to be full, even more so if it involves taking part in frenzy day madness!
Baltic Wharf is always Full M . You don't always have to book it on Frenzy day though, only for the Balloon festival and many of the weekends. However, it matters not when you visit, it will be full. Although I think I did see an empty pitch one night.

The only time I ever booked on frenzy day was a few years ago when going to Dunnet Bay. Sites are few and far between up there and I didn't want to find there was "no room at the inn"

So not much different to frenzy day then. Watching the bookings to check for a cancelation. I am afraid I just don't buy into everybody cancelling. We didn't for one.

I am quite happy to accept that there will be the odd cancelation, as you were obviously lucky enough to pick up. It is just this urban myth that vast numbers book weekends and other high profile periods, only to cancel them at the last minute, that I don't
buy into.0
