We stayed at a CL just outside Weymouth last year and as others have stated the place gets extremely busy. Even though we have a blue badge we found that getting the park and ride was the best option. I agree with TW, parking on Portland near the lighthouse
is a popular place for motor homes and a bus service regularly runs between Portland and Weymouth sea front. Sorry but I’m not sure about the scooter access though.

Not sure what you intend doing while in Dorset HD, but if you get a wet day, or fancy something different, we can highly recommend the Tank Museum at Bovington. From memory, I think the car park is large, and they let us in and out to check on dogs. We spent
a whole day here, so very interesting, depends of course if you like Museums etc... But there are things to play with.......big things! Enjoy!Happy

when we visited, I used to get up early and watch the Army doing things for real on the Tank ranges, not sure if this still happens! Live firing as well somewhere off coast, might be near Lulworth? Very nice place Dorset, long time since we have been though.

You can try 'dorset for you' website. I know there is a large public pay & dislay car park @ Radipole Lake next to RSPB reserve.  Not sure of the rules & regs but don't believe I have seen a height barrier there. I always read the signs before paying for
a ticket at any car park when in the m'home as some car parks do not allow them at all. Not too far to shops & front if you walk in past the train station.
