    well. blow me down, DD, the very same happened to me a few days ago....however, the catches on our doors can be activated from the inside....

    firstly. i had to find the light as it suddenly went pitvh black in there......lol

    ill have a butchers at the c-lines in the showroom here, and send you a photo of ours later....

    At least with the general standard of construction the compartment is unlikely to be airtight!

    Its German Navigateur.  It may not be entirely airtight but it is pretty good. 

    do caravans let the light in on all the door joints?

    no wonder there are so many horror damp storiesUndecided

    SurprisedHow  Strange  !! 

    Report  on  BBC Red  button  news  for  Devon  I  think  of  a  lady  trapped  in  a  non  caravanning  just  normal  van.  She  climbed  in  to  get  a  pen {!!}  and  the  wind  closed  the  door  on  her.  In  the  quiet  early  hours  of  the  morning  some  cyclists,  doing  the  Lands End  ==  John  O'  Groats  cycle-ride  heard  her  shouting  &  released  her.  They  said  that  they  thought  it  was  a  Kidnap  gone  wrong  !!
