Swift group battery charger fault
I have a 2008 Sterling fitted with a Nordelettronica NE143-P charger which has given up. Reading the internet this is a very common problem so phoned my local dealer who quoted £250 to fit a new one. Did a little research and found a Sargent PX300 that was
said to replace most Nordelettronica chargers at a cost of £110. I place an order and true enough it took 15mins to fit and works as it should, saving £140 from what the dealer quoted. The Nordelettronica power lead plug is the same and Sargent supply a lead
to fit the output connection simple plug and play took longer to screw it to the wall than wiring it up. You don't need any DIY knowlage exept how to use a screw driver.

My Nordelectronica NE-143 charger unit failed recently. It was at the start of a 3 week trip. Fortunately I always carry in the van a battery charger which I used every second day to keep the battery charged so I was able to complete my trip.
As to the faulty unit, I took it to a firm called Stellings in Beverly East Yorks. They are official Swift group repairers for Nordelectronica units. After a few days I collected the repaired unit [a new circuit board had been fitted] total cost £75.
ps you don't hear the term "repair" much these days
