    SORRY

Since you ask, how about trying "can anyone please tell me how to fix...."

It's quite simple, KA, and a little thought will prevent you alienating people as you did in the first thread on this subject. It's generally a good idea to be polite and say please and thankyou when you want others to help you.

    Thankyou for the apology.

im not quite sure that was the question she was asking....i reckon she was looking more for advice as to where to get help....rather than for the help itself.

i understood from her plain speaking, it was .....who (as in, what type of companies, ie a recommendation) could effect a repair....not, can anyone tell me how to repair it....

I think you've got the wrong end of the stick, BB. He is asking how to change/repair the PCB - see his earlier thread. He wants to do the job himself with guidance. However, it is a bit ambiguous.

You need to read the previous thread BB, then you will understand!

I think you have made a good decision in getting it fixed professionally, the link given looks like a good one.

Have you checked out the cost of a new pcb ? Just for comparison.

Also, are you able to remove and replace it yourself?

Having worked with adults who have disabilities such as dyslexia and autism, to varying extents right through to not having been previously acknowledged, it might be kind to give the OP some leeway with their use of English. Einstein was dyslexic, Isaac
Newton probably autistic and George Bernard Shaw couldn't spell. Unless you've come across these things in the past it's easy and quite common to feel critical. Then again the OP might just be unfamiliar with written communication.

Karen&Adrian  Sadly this site attracts those who are so self opinionated they take great delight in making you feel very inferior. I have experienced this so many times over the years  as a lady who happens to tow a caravan and manage it by myself. and do
simple running repairs as necessary. Are these self opinionated folk aware that I may be an engineer but with no experience with caravans,,,, of course not  they just get a kick out of making you look small at their  joy of being seen to "know it all"There
are some on here who you can respect for their advice and genuinely do have the experience they claim, just be aware and seek professional advice as well to be safe....Good Luck... SG2

I think that is a totally inappropriate comment, KA. You have been far less than polite in at least two threads now. I note your recent post is in a different tone but don't expect too much help in future.

SG, I don't believe anyone is trying to make KA feel inferior. Several of us have tried to help him but his posts have been less polite than we usually see. In fact some, particularly in his first thread, have been ill mannered. It became clear that KA needed
expert help and that is what was recommended. Kjell, especially, has been very helpful and patient and deserves thanks rather than being accused of trying to make the OP feel inferior.

    +1

Expecting people/posters to be pleasant and polite in their posts (using please, thanks...) is not making them feel inferior.

Cut them some slack, folks. The OP may be from the era of 56K or slower modems when bulletin boards were parsimonious with the use of words subsituting many phrases with abbreviations such as AFAICT etc. Habits learned when bandwidth wads at a premium may be difficult to unlearn. Perhaps TIA might have helped though.

Write your comments here...Ok Tinwheeler point taken but over my 25 years of club membership I have experienced many many times of being treated very rudely by certain members. I have learned who are the wind up merchants but it does stop me from posting
on here due to the spitefulness of some  members , sadly mainly male members,, maybe they feel threatened but for new comers it can be off putting. It doesn't cost anything to be polite, and I believe treat people as you hope they will treat you....SG2

SG, that's precisely the basis of my posts to KA.
