Advice please from Volvo car owners
We tow with a Volvo XC70 which is serviced/maintained by an authorised dealer. It seems to be standard, that Volvo Assistance is provided for 12 months following a service. This does not however include caravan repair or recovery when the problem is with
the caravan and not the car - and it can't be added on. It seems a waste of money to take out Mayday cover - but I cant think how else to cover the van. What do other Volvo owners do?

I have the Volvo cover as part of the service and look on it as an added benefit, but I also have Mayday as Volvo doesn't cover the caravan.
If I need assistance at home or abroard driving without the 'van, or even in the event of something car related, whilst towing, that's quite minor, such as a puncture on a motorway, I'd use the Volvo cover as it wouldn't affect my Mayday premium. Of course it would be Mayday if I was towing.

I am insured with Safeguard and they have an add on part of the policy which gives AA cover for both the car and caravan ie if problem with caravan such as puncture they will turn out. The cover also includes home start etc. It costs about £65 which seems
reasonable to me as it covers both car and Van. The caravan insurance part is a good price so the 2 together for my new Swift Challenger based special and AA cover for the van and Volvo XC70 comes in total of £306 .That is new for old cover on the Van as well.0
