Water pump problems
we have a truma water pump which stopped working On site. We have taken it to a mechanic who tested it using 12 v and it works. We have replaced the fuse but still not working. Any ideas? We are in darkest Croatia!
Around the same time as pump stopped working the electric tripped. Not sure if related?

Is it the submersible type of pump - where the pump is in the white tube on the end of the hoses and drops into the water barrel?
When you say 'not working', is the pump not spinning or is it spinning but no water appears?
Sometimes the white pump (or the filter if it's an on-board pump) floats to the top of the water barrel and stops pumping water.

test for the blockage first, as its the simplest to fix....
ie.....is the pump trying to work but cant....does it hum quietly...
if there is nothing comng from the pump (ie its not struggling with a blockage....) but the mechanic has tested it 'stand alone' then there must be a lack of current to the pump.
can you test something wlse across the pump connections....ideally a voltmeter.....but even a light bulb etc....to check current is present.
if no current then li,ely cause is a fuse resulting from your 'trip'.
was it the bollard that tripped or something (mcb) in the van...
who reset what after the trip?
did you reset the bollard and the mains was fine?
did you need to reset an mcb in the van?
try the mcb breakers....

Do you have a secondary or subsidiary fuse box? We have one in a locker with spade-type fuses for the 12 volt system, separate to the main consumer unit.
Good point, thank you... We need to get some spare fuses ourselves...
Good luck fixing your problem.
