A lot of new Swift owners are reporting issues with light transmittal through the roof......to the point that it wakes them up on a morning.

Swift's response to this has been to arrange for a vinyl wrap firm to apply vinyl in strips to the roof!

Imagine the effect on resale values. Imagine the issues with fixing solar panels, air con units etc to the roof. And what happens if these items are removed to transfer to a new caravan - are you left with a large hole in the vinyl?

A number of people have raised concerns on Swift Talk and, in his usual fashion, their technical director has closed down the discussion.

Apparantly they are changing the 'mix' of the roof construction to overcome this issue on the latest vans. Doesn't help owners who bought earlier this year though, does it?

    Of course, the title should have been 'Swift translucent roofs'.....
