This was my response after asking re a 2013 kx2 with SLS

Bit of a worry if you ask me, 2 responses for preey much the same car both with SLS and of the same mark 2013 \ 2015

    Case Reference - 1605132807

    Dear Mr ,,,,,,,,

    Thanks for your email.

We can confirm that as stated in your Owners Manual, the recommended Tyre pressure for half load/full load driving and towing is 33 psi.

I hope this has answered your question.

This is the same reply that I got for a 2014 kx2 33psi for everything on loaded unloaded and towing from kia .co.uk

Write your comments here... That really is a worry if Kia UK are giving conflicting advice to owners, if correct it seems there is no right or wrong.

My advice still stands for others, don't take our word for it, it's best to ask for yourself. I printed my response & tucked it in the Kia handbook.

I'll be sticking to my 38F 42R for towing, i've tried various combinations between 33psi & 42psi & this suits our outfit very well, the difference between the extremes was very noticeable (to me).

I've had my tyres on 35psi since ownership as the fronts were wearing more on the edges, over the 4k I have done it looks like this has been resolved. Handling on 35 is good.

I may very well up the rear to 38 for our continental tour this year.

As has been said if in doubt ask Kia

Just like to say with our 2010 Kia we put the recomended psi in 38 front and 42 rear and took caravan out, came down a clear dual carriageway, my hubbie took it up to 65mph and not a twitch so hopefully this has solved the problem. Thanks again for all your
    advice.

Thank you for the feedback.I am off on a 500 mile eachway tow next weekend, the first time with my 2010 KX3. and will report back after the trip.Hopefully the combination of the correct tyre pressures and the MAD springs will allow reasonable speeds!Previous
posters seem to have taken no regard as to the difference between model years of Sorento!!

Good news. Hope that will be the end of your stability issue.

Bonus that it's also the cheapest solution.

WinkAs promised...the report on a 500 mile tow each way with a 2010 Sorento...tyre pressures set to recommended....MAD heavy duty rear springs....towing
Swift Challenger 530..loaded to maximum!!!!!!The Sorento was just as good in all respects as the earlier model (2007 Titan Auto)We covered all types of road from motorway to none classified.!Motorway speeds of 60 mph (ish!) produced no sway or twitch,B road
hills were tackled with ease etc.  Overall towing MPG was about 22mpg (auto).average speed for the two 500 mile journeys approx 51mph.I would thoroughly recommend this as a towcar despite some reports!!

Just got back from Rutland water and I must say it was like towing a van full of water it was twitching at 55mph its the worst its been we pulled into the services and made sure all tyre pressure was correct on van and car and pulled off and its still as
bad, like going on a white knuckle ride, we thought it was ok, but on this trip it seems to be worse, we have brought some new pads for alko stabiliser which will be put on next week and the caravan is going for a service at weekend, but to be honest we go
down Cornwall in 7 weeks and I am not looking forward to it, any information would be appreciated, like I said in my first post it towed fine for first two journeys and on was down the A1.

you say it was ok the other week when your husband tested it,

so the only thing that has changed must be the loading.

youve not got to much weight at the back,

Next time it wags , could you stop and move some of the weight forward and see if it makes a difference, other wise you won't know until your next outing,

Incidentley I have just put new tires with stiffer sidewalks on my motor and it has made quite a differen when towing, feels more stable,

    Hope you get it sorted

Did you fit the MAD springs yourself, or where did you get them from and fitted.

I ordered the springs on line from the importers, there was a delay in supply as they had to get them from Holland. They were not cheap (approximately £270).I fitted them myself, not too difficult.....Remove rear road wheel, remove lower arm bolt, remove old
spring and reverse to assemble!About 1 hour all told
