Super pitches and Mains water hook up.

I'll start by saying I own a Whale em 9401 mains connector . After reading Whale's own brochue which states it can be used with a Smartflow uv 0814 pump but the strainer must be removed  ,Fine when i used it the pump developed a small leak and cycled every
now and then , so i stopped using it . A few runs out later the smartflow pump stopped pumping ( diaphragm gone ) . So fitted new superceded pump FP0814. Whale website states "Must not be used with mains pressure " Ahh! I thought , that why my pump went !

Yet scrolling down the page and it states EM9401 Mains connector used with latest pump (FP0814)  must have strainer removed to be ok with mains pressure . All intriguing , Phoned Whale up, the chap from technical sounded confused but just rattled off what
I had read on the website . So there we have it No difinitive answer . And My decision is to use an aquaroll with a troutbeck valve in the side .

    yes, that's ptobably the best way, as also if the water goes off at the mains or one water tap you'll still have half and aquaroll and/or somewhere to put water in.

    Have you been to Toutbech head before? the waste drain is right at the back of the pitch so have plenty of grey waste pipe. Also some of these drains are higher than the pitch level, so you'll have to try and get water to flow uphill or use something to
    lift the pipe off the ground, its a left over when all the service pitches were in fact static caravan pitches. There is two left but I think the wardens use them

    We've always used the Aquaroll with the regulating device.  It's always worked well for us.

    We also use the Aquaroll and ball valve. I have never been keen on the concept of pressurising the caravan system in any event. When we go out for the day we always turn the pump switch off  and if the ball valve fails you just end up with a wet pitch. If
    a joint has become loose in a pressurised system you could come back to a very wet van, unless you turn the tap off each time you go out.
