As quite a few of you will have read we had some interesting exploits with our new caravan over the weekend.  I had a very plesant surprise today when I got a call late morning to say that they van had already been looked at depsite their being no workshop
time until the 23rd.

The inline pump on the Alde Boiler had been set to too higher speed, so that's now been turned down.   The fluid level has been drained down as well to bring it back between the min and max.

They are also going to look at swapping out the Alde Control Panel to solve the ambient temperature reading issue.  They do agree that 23 degrees at 10.30 at night with no heating on does sound a bit high!

The door intermittently not closing is proving a little more tricky to diagnose.

It is a well known fact that electronic failures after occur within a short time of initial use. If they don't fail then they can happily perform trouble free for years. We collected our new motorhome three weeks ago and by the time we got home the reversing
    camera have failed.

Hopefully once your initial problems are fixed things will run smoothly.

That is very good service from your dealer. We also have a problem with the indicated temperature on our Alde heating control panel so will follow your lead and get it checked out. Thanks.

I have to say Swindon Caravans aren't bad at all.  They came to my aid on Friday when we got to site and found that the alko wheel lock supplied by thecaravanshop was the wrong one!  They lent me a brand new one on the understanding that when the right lock
arrived, I would return that one to them.
