    I've had a look at what Westfalia say the bar can handle.

    Audi Noseweight 80kgs

    Audi Max Towing Weight 2000 kgs

    Alko Chassis 100 kgs

    Westfalia Bar Nosewight 100 kgs

    Westfalia Bar Towing Weight 2,500 kgs 

    It also is the same item code for the Tiguan.

    So a real hotchpotch of figures!

    Losing noseweight - get a good plastic surgeon.

    Ive just had a sinus infection , That got rid of a lot of nose weight . ..... Only today loaded van up , got 125 kg with my wife watching . bounced on it and  went and settled at about 105 kg i'm happy with that .

    Catherine it's really quite simple!  If you have a Tig and tow a caravan with an Alko hook it's 100kgs max noseweight; if you have an Audi it's 80kgs.  Keep the towing weight within the car limits, an 85% ratio is recommended for the inexperienced.

    I had same problem. Put spare wheel under bed as far back as possible and had mover refitted at the back of the wheels.

    Our Swift van, in a bare state has so much nose weight that it can't be lifted. But when laden with the space under the fixed bed utilised, bed made, clothes hanging and empty barrels in the rear washroom, the nose weight drops to under 100 kg. despite two
    calor light bottles and 110Ah battery up front. I think that the manufacturer balanced the caravan so that it works in normal use. With regard to loading behind the axle, it should be remembered that there's already over half a ton of woodwork, chassis, upholstery,
    windows and cladding installed by the manufacturer, behind the axle. So we shouldn't adopt an obsession for avoiding rear weight at all costs, but rather more, act with sensible caution.
