Bailey Wraparound Cushions
Hello everyone, and thank you for letting me join your discussion group.
We are new to caravanning and have just bought a Bailey Unicorn (2012). The kids sleep fine in the 2 single beds, but when we make up the double for ourselves it is only 3'8" wide - scarcely more than a single bed! So we want to take out the centre chest
and replace with wraparound cushions. But £250 from Bailey!!!!! I don't suppose anyone has a set of these that they don't need any more that they would like to sell; or even swap for the centre chest?
kind regards, Andrew

Do you really need wrap round seating?if the chest is removed does it not give you two "longer"benches ,that will make into a bigger bed without any more seating req? wrap round seating with the slope of the front windows we have found is not very comfy

£250 seems very cheap indeed considering how much joinery has to be changed underneath, never mind the cushions!
The "L-shaped lounge" is not currently fashionable in caravans yet around 90% of furniture in shops is that style.
No problem in my Bailey Senator from windows as there is a huge ledge behind the cushions. Great place for the G&T glass.

Hello JBV66 and Navigateur - thanks for your feedback. The chest comes out quite easily (2 plastic screws) and the joinery is already in place underneath, as it is designed to take cushions instead the chest - see picture of the cushions here: https://www.bailey-parts.co.uk/ProductImages/2200142.jpg
We have put in a couple of surrogate cushions in the meantime and it seems to work for the kids sitting under the sloping windows - and as you say, there is a lovely wide ledge for cups of tea (or glasses of wine!).
I guess if we can't get any second hand we will have to bite the bullet and buy them new!

Here is a hyperlink to the cushions in bailey's website:

Hey! That's the design in my van. Good to know it is still available.
There are aftermarket cushion manufacturers advertising in the last few pages of the Club magazine.

And a long shot, but check the caravan breakers.
If nothing S/H or aftermarket comes up, it might be worth £250 on a 2012 caravan that is otherwise right for you.
Should be okay at 2012, but make sure the originals have not faded in the sun, the new ones could look daft.
Best of luck.
Edit. Just looked at that hyper link. mmm £250 does seam a lot of money for that !

Hi, I currently have a 2011 Bailey Pegasus Milan, this has the wraparound front lounge, as a seating option not much use, but as a bed layout it is fantastic it requires a king size bottom sheet to cover the cushions once in bed mode so no trouble spreading
out to sleep, have you thought about going to a place that cuts foam to shape and size ?0 -
OP, if you are thinking of getting rid of your centre chest might be ineteresred! What is the size? I have a Bailey Ranger 60 520/4 Series 6 without this feature. Just the 2 of us so no need for the front beds. Could even do a swap if size colour match!
