BPW Axle Type plate - can't find it

I can't find the Axle Type plate on my BPW chassis. The VIN number is on all the windows and is stamped on the chassis A-frame, and it is CRIS registered, so not concerned in that regard.

The Overrun Hitch Type plate is there, albeit concealed uner the plastic cover at the front - but no sign of the Axle plate. According to all BPW literature it is normally found on the rear of the axle tube, but there is absoultely no sign of it - or of
it having been there and fallen off.

Any ideas? - I've crawled about everywhere under the van and can't see it - is it possible to get a replacement?

It's not a big issue at the moment, but if I ever need spares it would be a help

When I had a Fleetwood with a BPW chasis the number you have already found was all I had.  Looking at the BPW site spares seem to be common to most of their chasis types.  Have you  contacted the caravan manufacturer to ask them?

No, not yet - I did contact Elddis with another query and they were very helpful - sent me a free copy of the original handbook which I didn't have - I've got a 1999 Elddis EX2000 Hurricane.

The only reason I discovered it was missing was when the mobile engineer that was coming to service it asled for some details from the plate so he could bring the correct spares in case they were needed, but everything was OK.

But now that I know it should be there and it's not is niggling. I'm sure if the time comes, I'll be able to get the info - I was just wondering if anyone else had the same issue and maybe found it in some obscure place I'm missingHappy
