Grey Waste Re-routing

There is nothing too stop you rerouting your waste pipes where ever you like.Its just elementry plumbing with push fit pipeing.

If there isn't already make sure that there is a fall in the pipe work running towards the outlet.  This doesn't have to be anything more complicated than blocks of wood of different thicknesses.  Also I don't know what they use under Pegasus but plumb in
hard pipe the corrugated plastic stuff is a terrible dirt trap.  Finally join up all the drain lines to a single outlet. So you don't have to install that Chrismas tree arrangement that joins all the outlets to a single point so you can get into your waste
master.   If you have traps on all your drain points inside your van then you will have the equivalent of German waste water plumbing. 

If you plumb the wash basin into the shower outlet there is a risk that emptying a large amount of water down the basin could cause a back up into the shower if the water cannot get away quickly enough. I had this problem with my campervan. If I emptied
the tip up wash bowl quickly then a small amount of waste water could find its way into the shower tray. I cured it by fitting a one way valve into the outlet pipe of the shower.

Write your comments here...We have never had this problem in 5 years and our wash hand basin will inevitably be bigger than a tip_up basin.Perhaps we are lucky.

The problem was that the bathroom in the campervan was small and the shower tray was the whole floor. Therefore to use any of the facilities you had to step into the shower tray. This was unpleasant if the tray was wet, especially wet with dirty soapy water.
I agree though, not too much of a problem if the shower tray is separate.

I suppose one could use duckboard but I think my solution was better (very cheap and easy to do and effective). Anyway I don't have the campervan now and my caravan has a separate dedicated shower cubicle so no more problem.

If you have traps, then merging the plumbing into one line will generate a vacuum when, say, the kitchen washing up bowl is emptied, which may pull the water out of a trap, leading to odours

Don't run the pipes to the back of your van, near the wheel is best.

Coachman always took their waste pipes to the back of the van, guess what, reviewers and end users moaned. Never the right answer. At least now they are bigger bore pipes.
