Advice on solar panel

hi we are wanting a solar panel fitted to our caravan. wanting some advice on them and if anyone can recommend any fitters Retford Notts area. Our caravan is a Coachman VIP 2013.

    >This site< should help. Sorry cannot help with and installer in your area but it is not too difficult to do it yourself using a kit and there are plenty of videos on U-Tube to show you how

    Have you considered a free standing panel? 150w folding all complete, ready to connect to battery and in a carry case, weight 17kg.

    Visited this afternoon Lodge Farm Leisure of Gunthorpe who can supply and/or fit solar panels.

    80W Solar Panel &10A Charge Controller £300

    That is a great setup. One thing often missed, is that with free-standing, its easy to optimise the positioning of the panels. Up here in the far north, the sun doesn't come from above, but at an angle. It makes a huge difference. Roof mounted panels, you get what you are given.

    The roof ones give a good average with no human involvement, if you are not around to secure or move the floor panels then you wont be optimal throughout the day anyway, but your right, they are more effective, but require manual intervention to be maxed
    out.
