Spare wheel sizes
Hi
I have a Adria Adora 642 UP 2012 I bought it last year second hand. My questions is that it has alloy wheels with the tyre size of 195/70 R15C but the spare which the tyre looks unused but the steel wheel is a bit rusty. But the tyre is 205/65 R15C both
wheels have 5 holes for studs.
1. Can i use the spare or do i need to get a 195/70 R15C for it.
2. What studs should I get for the steel wheel as I have been told they could be diffance to alloy wheels.
Thanks for anyone time in replying

Hi Mike, not being an expert but if both wheels are 15 inch wheels with five studs I would think even if used for emergency only it should be fine, you only have to look at some of the space savers you see on big Mercs, Jags and the like to know its a prety
grey area the only thing I would add is the loading on a caravan tyre is a little more cos there's only two on one axle..0 -
Just had a quick look and the rolling radius of the two tyres is less than 1mm difference so OK . Its been supplied as a spare hence it being Steel and the tyre is probably a budget one of the correct loading capacity so ok to use . The wheels aren't being
driven so perfectly safe . But because the tyres are different it might put up an issue if the van was the cause of an accident . I would advise matched wheel and tyres if you can ,stops any hassle .0 -

This mite then touch the motor mover. I mite take a wheel off and see if it fits.. But thanks for your reply

It seems strange that the spare would be a wider tyre. If the spare looks like the original are you sure the caravan has not been fitted with the wrong sized tyres.

Must have a look at mine . The chart i looked at the rolling radius is as I would suspect nearly the same not 25mm out like Gardon said .I've just fitted new rollers to my Powrtouch Movers ,the new ones are 5mm Diameter bigger (Ribbed instead of rough grit
ones) that makes them 2.5 mm closer to the tyre . They fine ,but i will watch out when the tyres start needing replacment . Another point ,I think they are original , they are marked 102 (load rating ) and tyre should not be inflated past 40psi, Elddis say
65psi ..... So there one to chew over . They will stay at 65 psi .0
