Dogs in cars while travelling in Spain

I posted a question regarding the above and instead of a staff member giving a definite answer, another staff member decided to close the thread and start another thread, but never offered any advice on dogs in cars in Spain.  Surely it would have been preferable
to offer advice instead of just starting another "blank" thread?

There is another dog thead that is running and only some one with lots of time to waste will read through hundreds of posts to see if their query has been answered.

No wonder the CC is what it is!

Yep, pretty primitive forum - dreadful search facility, no sub-categories for different countries, different issues etc etc.  I mentioned this to them a couple of years ago and nothing has happened.  Lots of good advice buried never to be seen again.

I think the other threads ought to be allowed to run their course, before being 'closed for discussions' - or perhaps a post added that they would be closed for further contributions after seven days.  It seems unfair to just 'end' open (and current) discussions!

and made a sticky? As has been said who is going to bother ploughing through pages of a catch all thread.

...You are right Husky, maybe they should be, wouldn't it be great if you just typed in .....Solar panels and it pulled up ALL the information that had been posted about themInnocent

When we get the new system I'm sure that's how it will work, won't it Undecided

And I use another forum that if you ask a question it's not closed and lumped together ,may be they value their posters...

Another forum I use lists related topics after the last post. The software is available, why it is taking so long for the Club to make improvements is beyond comprehension.

I also think threads should be allowed to run their course. The one I had started definitely hadn't!

What is the problem with duplication?

If for example a finite answer is given to a question, the law or anything else might change in the future . Consequently a new thread would be relevant. Also if I just wanted to read ABOUT something, rather than discussing it. I wouldn't
be looking at a discussion forum!

NO! For some reason that's on the social section!!!! This discussion was about traveling in Spain with a dog! Social is for general, often inane chit chat. Nothing wrong with that. But definitely not the place to gain information
