Hi all

Not quite a caravanning holiday but here goes, I am hoping to go to Tenerife for a month early January and was wondering if any members knew of anywhere or anyone that rents places out !!

I stopped at golf de sur last year so that area (amarillo golf, palms )appeals to me, really need a 2 bed but a 1 bed apartment/flat will do.

Much appreciated in advance.

Try www.spain-holiday.com  I used them when I rented my place on the Costa Blanca. They have 48 in Tenerife.

You could try 'Owners Direct' we used them to rent a villa in Gran Canaria earlier this year. They have lots all over the Canaries.

..you don't have to Andy, not if you are just browsing.

We didn't create one until we started the process of booking a villa. The benefits you have now is that any money is now paid to Owners Direct and not direct to the owner. This means you can pay by credit card for added security, the money is then forwarded
to the owner through their account. The system was brought in at the begining of this year, before you just paid the owners direct by bank transfer, not my favourite way of paying people that I don't know.

Hope you get something to suit, have a good holiday.

Owner's Direct are part of HomeAway and we have used them many times over the years. They are generally very good  but not always. Look out for the photos they DON'T show you and be aware that they are just a middle man doing the advertising and shifting
the money. Your contract is with the owner so if Manuel has artfully left the cement factory out of the photos your gripe is with him not Owner's Direct.

Good advice, I took a copy of the main photo of the villa we used and pasted  it into google, just to check it was where it was advertised to be. I was then able to zoom in using Google earth and check out the area, by the time we got there we knew just
where to park and where the shops were.

Copy and paste, crissy. I'm pretty sure you shouldn'd keep other peoples photos.

Chrissy, try right click and 'search google for image'  sometimes you have to open up the the advert for the property first, then do the right click bit and it should come up in the drop down menu.
