Camping Cheque sites going to ACSI in 2017

The movement from Camping Cheques to ACSI seems well under way.
Camping du Pont de Bourgogne (page 335 )
Le Mas de Reihle (page 212)
Kompass Camping Nieuwpoort (page 344)
are all ceasing Camping Cheques for 2017 and taking ACSI.
If you've included any of these in your planning for 2017 then best buy an ACSI Card and Guide.

I am just about to book a ferry with camping cheques. Hope it's safe. We are looking at Brittany next September and there aren't that many cc's sites there but lots of ACSI
On another slant why do the club insist on booking 7 cheques with a ferry and camping cheques only ask you to book 3

Harry if you ring the Caravan Club you can book with just three Camping Cheques, but still qualify for the discount. It might be worth it if more and more sites are leaving.

Harry. The minimum now is to buy 5 Cheques from the Club , or you can buy and pay for 6 and get 7 - you have to phone in for these two offers.
But do you need to decide now for next September? We went out from Plymouth on 8 September this year and got the sailing and the cabin we wanted at ten days notice. If you wait a while you will see which sites will be accepting Cheques in 2017 when the

To be fair the Alan Rogers Organisation, which is what the Caravan Club bought out, is more than just Camping Cheques. That was always just one part of their business. The main part was the guides they produced, which were best sellers in the early years,
the ferry deals, and the travel packages they would book for you, plus the cheaper deals available by booking all this as a package. I imagine it was this element which attracted the Caravan Club.However, the reality is that it doesn't seem to have been a wise investment as the Alan Rogers organisation (and their website/booking/ferries offers) seems to be shrinking just like Camping Cheques sites!

We must not forget that The Club paid around £4 million for the Alan Rogers business which clearly others are now suggesting was a bad decision..
Vai is quite right that The Club bought more than just the UK "end" of Camping Cheque but whilst I agree that the AR guides were pretty good in the early years, The Club discontinued them shortly after the takeover. Were they worth buying? Also, of course,
The Club has offered travel packages very similat to (and with the same advantages as AR) for as many years as I can remember.So, I ask (not for the first time) why did The Club spend £4 million of "our" money to buy the AR business which it is now (to use Val's word) "shrinking" ?
