Is Santander/ Zaragoza the shortest route to Benidorm ?

I travel to Murcia quite regularly from Bilbao and go Burgos/Madrid/Albacete.I'm off on Tuesday.

After Albacete the m'way splits and you can take a route to Alicante.

Can't really help you with campsites, only with Camping Riaza north of Madrid,as i usually book a cheap small hotel for the night.

Just to add,i don't like the coastal m'way down from Valencia ,and its tolled.

What time does your ferry dock? This will influence how far to travel to the first overnight stop.

If you want a stop very close to the ferry for the first night, consider this site

(It's not immediately obvious from their website that it is a campsite ... but it is, and open all year. See price list).

As Toby says, the shortest route to Benidorm would be across the centre with possible overnights at Burgos, Riaza (north of Madrid) or Aranjuez (South of Madrid), and possibly Kiko Park Rural (a slight deviation on the A3).  However in January central Spain
can get very cold and heading for the Med coast is aften the preferred option.  In this case there is a very good municipal site at Zaragoza which we have used a few times.

As new caravanners make sure you read up on all the rules and regs you can find elsewhere on the Caravan Club website, and order your ACSI discount book, which will pay for itself in a few nights.

have a look at other caravanners' blogs.  Ours is at
