We're first timers taking the caravan to Spain in December. We're looking for a site on the Costa Del Sol between Motril and Almeria to spend a week at Christmas. We have 2 energetic dogs so having somewhere to exercise them is quite important. We have been
considering either Roquetas de Mar in the CC winter brochure or Mar Azul, Balerma in the C&CC winter brochure. Anyone  any advice or suggestions please

We stayed at Roquetas for a couple of weeks as part of our winter away 2014-5.  A large but spacious site with good facilities.  Very popular with the Germans. Lots going on if you want to join in,  The beach is a short walk away across dog friendly waste
land and sand dunes. When we were there (March) we were allowed two pitches each at no extra charge, which gave us lots of room.

    Check

Stopped at Mar Azul, Balerma in early July on ACSI, we live three hours away and someone in our village recommend it too us. Brand new site so the facillities are excellent and can't be faultered, Balerma itself is a bit of a run down town and the site surrounds
and local beach are to be frank a dump.

We stopped at Mar Azul in May. Lovely new site with palm trees, excellent toilets but .... it is surrounded by tatty polytunnels reminiscent of the 'Jungle' at Calais!

Thanks for the posts about Mar Azul, Balerma. We did consider this sites as all the reviews on ACSI were very positive but it was the surroundings which put us off
