Recommended sites on Cote d'Azur
Hi Guys
My Dad and I are currently in the South of France just west of Marseille with our motorhome
Can anyone recommend some good campsites and even Aires along the coast especially so we can visit Nice, Cannes and Monte Carlo. I know Monto Carlo has no parking for motorhomes, so we hope to get a bus in there.
Any pointers will be great.
Also any motorhome parking suggestion fir any of the coastal towns will be great
Thanks in advance

No replies? You're asking about Cote d'Azur ( the blue coast) . If your aim is the visit the towns and cities by public transport, then you should look for campsites near the coastal railway line.
Here are a few examples:

Both of these at La Napoule, and at Loubet,

Hope this helps. Buy your ticket before you board, office or ticket machine, and 'validate' your ticket on the day you travel. You'll see machines for having your ticket punched.

Hi Chas and Cath
Thanks for the reply!!!
We are on an Aire called Les Tamaris on Plage de Pampelonne beach tonight and maybe tomorrow night. €15 with hookup a night for those who may want to take note. Water, grey and black solutions on site. Feels very safe and friendly. Nice beach! Will have
a look at your links later this evening! Thanks so much!

We stayed at Vieilleferme it has some good size full serviced pitches, a pool and snack bar. The manned train station is walking distance. You do have to validate your ticket before boarding. There is a bus stop about 150meters away. We used the bus to
go to Nice the cost was €1 each way. You can also get the bus there to Antibes and Cannes, and was €1 each way. This was in 2014 so prices may have changed a little. There is a Mc Donald's not far that we used for free wifi.

Hey Anothersunrise
On your recommendation we booked into Vieille Ferme. We leave tomorrow so will have been here a couple of days.
Its a nice site…very friendly staff and nice pool. We cycled to Antibes yesterday and Cagnes Sur Mer the day before. Very easy cycle to both. Antibes is lovely!
Thanks for your advice!

I cannot remember if you have to change at Nice or not but the local train station will get you to Monaco if you want to.
A lot easier than trying to park there.
Also have a walk to Biot. Great eating spots. More "French" than Antibes if you know what I mean.

When we were there some years ago the train from Biot to Monaco was direct stopping train and no need to change.

Thanks David.
We were thinking of a trip down there next May, it's been a while.. Probably not when the GP is on though
That is when we went and it was fascinating going to Monaco when the GP is on although I appreciate it might not be everyones cup of tea. For obvious reasons the trains are very crowded over that weekend!!!
