If you mean a Club organised tour then I'm sorry I'm afraid I can't help. But if you mean a tour of our own devising - Keukenhof display garden, Leiden botanic garden, Piet Oudolf's private garden, Het Loo palace garden ... Then yes I can perhaps help.
Holland is so easy.0 -
We visited Keukenhof whilst staying at a hotel in The Hague so we got there late morning. Big mistake! It was the day of the Spring flower festival and I have never in my life seen so many people at an outdoor attraction. We could hardly move from one display
to the next; total disaster. Choose your times carefully.0 -
We stayed at Koningshof this year to visit the Keukenhof gardens. Our stay did coincide with the Dutch school holiday so it was pretty busy.
We also got a good deal on the Harwich ferry, but using Tesco vouchers.

Hi Lesandang
We hosted the bulb field tour in 2014 and know the host of the 2016 tour, was there something specific that you wanted to know? The gardens are stunning as are the bulb fields, it's a packed program with a lot to see and do. Most of the information is in
the brochure or on the website, but just ask if you want further information.0 -
Thank you all for your replies. I am of-course aware that we will pay a premium for the convenience of the tour but it seems a good way of getting a taste of the places visited with little hassle. Also, and maybe just as important is that we are attracted
to some of the more adventurous tours that are on offer with both clubs but would like to try first to see if the scenario works for us. In terms if questions i am wondering how many people typically make up this group and is one of the dates on offer better
than the others and why?0 -
if you want to see lots of Tulips in the fields go on the earlier one - I don't know what dates are on offer. We were there from May 4th - 13th and many of the field were finishing.

The tours are usually limited to 20 units including the hosts. That said, our last one was only 9 units. For the bulbs the best time to go is difficult as its weather dependant. A mild winter will bring the bulbs on early, but we found the early groups see
the best of the hyacinths, whilst the later ones get the best of the tulips. So as you see no easy answer.0
