South Atlantic Coastal sites in France

Hello all - really need some advice.  We are looking at booking the Santander ferry next year for the first time - normally go to St Malo and drive to Vendee coast.  Anyone got any site tips for the southern French Atlantic coast?  We would like to have
any idea on site before we commit to the ferry. We like a site with stuff to keep kids entertained but thats not too manic and has good pitches.  Looking at Camping Le Ruisseau - anyone been? Or got any other suggestions?  Needs to be within reasonable distance
of the ocean as husband and son surf but not necessarily right on the beach.  Thanks.

We went to Le Ruisseau but many years ago, it was a good 'Castels' site, don't know what it's like now.  The coast in this area is different from the Vendee (sorry if you know this already) and is considered quite dangerous, when we were there the sea was
very rough - I could not stand  in shallow water.  We stuck with the campsite pool!  Sorry not to be more helpful.

What month are you planning to travel? If August you will find South West Atlantic coast sites very busy and roads very slow. Any other month will be nice!
