Milan trip

I am travelling to Italy shortly (to watch football) in my motorhome. Am planning to travel via Mont Blanc tunnel to Milan. Is there anything I need to be aware of and is anyone aware of decent aires close to the border?

Many thanks

Do you have a compelling reason for going via the Mont Blanc tunnel? Its not the most picturesque or cost effective route to Milan, in fact its quite a boring route with the prospect of lots of traffic especially on the A4 in Italy.

My suggested route is Calais to Metz or Strasburg then into Switzerland via Germany. Through the St Gottard Tunnel and down to Milan. Motorhome parking in Italy is quite relaxed and you'll find them parked almost everywhere overnight and for longer. I suggest you look at "Campercontact.com" where there are literally thousands of Camper Sostas (the Italian equivalent of Aires) to choose from. Enjoy your trip.

Many thanks. I know France as I have spent a few holidays there and will be stopping at Dijon on the way down. I will check out campercontact - thanks
