Not sure if this has been mentioned before but the French are introducing a Low Emission Zone in Paris from 1st July 2016 for French vehicles. It will only apply to non French registered vehicles from 1st April 2017. More information here

It seems that it only applies to the roads within the Boulevard périphérique. I am not sure how many people actually venture that far into the centre of Paris in their cars/caravans/motorhomes?

I read on the link that it will be extended out in due course. Can just imagine all those mayors applying now in order to show the voters how "Green " they are.
Did anyone notice they have got the classification for motorcyles wrong? Typo probably.

Write your comments here...They were doing road works on the western ring road a few years ago and there were loads of diversions. You guessed it! We managed to find our way back but only after going around the Arc de Triumphs with the van on the back.
Interesting time
We now go around the other way.

Applies to foreign registered cars only, thought that was against EU rules
Write your comments here...Not so sure that's correct, Oneputt. My understanding is that they are applying this to French cars as well following the pollution caused in Paris recently. Segelone Royale introduced the law and it didn't go down well with the
locals (as usual).0 -

French drivers this year, non French drivers next year, all perfectly clear in the supplied link.
