Safety leaving and approaching Calais ferry port

Travelling Dover to Calais Sunday 28th August on P&O And heading straight for Rheims. Has anyone any current news on the situation please. (Wondering weather to switch or Dunkirk).

    There is a thread running not far below this one
    (HERE)     about travelling to Calais during the night.  Don't know what time you are booked, but there has been no recent news at all about any situation; whilst I personally wouldn't want to travel during darkness I would still travel to and from Calais;
    we're booked on the tunnel in just over a week.

    If you look in the CC magazine they did a behind the scene tour of the security of the Calais end
