Drainage

I'm not quite sure what is meant by ..drainage at a site in France or Spain. Are you allowed to empty caravan toilet cassettes at sites without drainage?

All sites, in France, have to have somewhere to empty cassette toilets.  Drainage, in European terms, means that you have a grey water drain on your pitch - but you don't use that for emptying toilet waste - that has to go in the designated 'device'.   This
is sometimes a manhole, sometimes a WC Chiminique, sometimes a designated normal looking toilet, and sometimes these have a washing hose, but not always.

Came across this at a very smart site in Biarritz. Despite asking in reasonably adequate French it seemed there were no facilities whatsover so eventually just used a normal toilet.
