We have a mapped route of A13 A71 A75 and woudl like to know of some suggestions fo where to stop on the wya down.  The 3 kids woudl like pool/slides and we would like beauty.  I think we will be going through loire but i just wondered whether there is anywhere
further down that was of any interest.  I have looked on the map but can't see anything that jumps out at me.   We have 4 nights to get to the campsite that is booked for 10 days.

Many thanks for any tips.

    Hi

I agree with your route. Also agree re Millau!

There's a site in St Pourcain sur Sioule that looked OK. We were in the motorhome so we stayed on the aire in the town. Don't recall a pool though.

We stayed at Les Rivages at Millau. Excelllent site with all childrens' amenities and you could have a wonderful couple of days out in the Tarn Gorge and around.

I'd also agree with the suggestion of Millau - which is, and has long been our favourite part of France - not the town itself, but all the gorges and 'causses' nearby.

If you want another site within a 'day's travel' of Dieppe then the municipal site, Rochat le Belle Isle, in Chateauroux will give your children free access to the municipal pool, which has slides and a wave pool.

So you could easily do one night at Chateauroux and then the other three nights at Millau, giving you plenty of time for sight-seeng.

If you want somewhere in between then a bit further north of Millau, and just off the A75 you could stay at Indigo Royat, which is a smallish site near the Puy de Dome, with a pool and a good little restaurant.  The area has loads of extinct volcanoes,
with some fantastic walks and views, and the town of Royat is very pretty in a sort of Art Nouvea way, with lots of Spas, glass conservatories and flowering plants.

As you know ValDa, my old stomping ground. Highly reccommended region to visit and not really known by Brits who tend to blast past looking for the sun

Valarama, I can't think of a site  with a pool, but will your children be swimming at 6pm?  At that sort of time - about 2 hours from Dieppe - you will reach a neat, tidy little site at St Remy sur Avre near Nonancourt- camping le Pre de l'Eglise. For an
overnight stop it will do very well. Lots of us use it for that. Have a good holiday.

There is Flower Camping de l'Île des Trois Rois at Les Andelys, just south east of Rouen, which may suit and is only a couple of hours away from Rouen.  Or there is also
Camping Chateau Gaillard which is in the same sort of area.
