Bayeux Parking

Hello

I am going to Normandy next month and have realised that everytime I have visited Bayeux it has been on a coach so parking has not been a worry. Where is the best, and being Scottish, least expensive place to park so I can take my young family to see the
sights and visit the market on Saturday.

Thanks in advance.

Museum of the Battle of Normandy on the southern ringroad. It's free.

Very short walk to the town & across the road from the WWII Commenwealth War Cemetery

We parked in a large car park next to the main street.

Can't remember how much it was, but it can't have been that much or we wouldn't have gone there.

Or failing that, the supermarket just up the road......same side as the Commonwealth War Cemetery.

We used the Battle of Normandy car park as it is free. In addition the Petit Train starts from there so you can get a tour of the city to see what is there before you go into town.

It's quite easy to park in Bayeux in the centre. We have recently come back from there. Not at all expensive. Look for parking signs or spaces on the streets. We were very surprised how easy it was. It's quieter in the morning.

If you have a dog we have used a brilliant pet sitter for the day in Bayeux.

Don't miss out Omaha Beach Memorial Centre and cemetery. A beautiful and moving spot.
