Strange you have a price from the club. I'm sure I read on here just this week that the club have not got Brittany discounts through yet and that they would realease them as and when.

Have just checked the club price and yes, they are out. Thanks David

Same dates as last year, Portsmouth/Caen, car/van = 2 adults out at 2.45pm back at 8.30am

Out May back July and 10 Camping Cheques. Price £326.5

That is exactly, to the penny, the same price I paid this year. So the ferry fare equates to £177 return

My dates for next year will be later in the year. At present dates only go up to the first week in July

You did indeed and I asked for the same for North Sea Ferries. Hey Ho!

It's going to be better this time to book as early as possible (if people can do so) as the fuel that the ships use is priced in Dollars.

I realise that the ferry companies will have bought forward but they are bound to raise prices.

Many years ago when fuel prices were increasing  at a high rate I am sure they charged a suppliment. Is that clause still lurking in the T&C somewhere? So although we had booked at price X we ended up paying more.

The ferry companies may have forward purchased fuel as indeed the airlines do the problem is unless they have also forward purchased dollars they are going to see a massive increase in costs, this is why airline shares have taken a pummeling.  You can bank
on those increased costs being passed on in some form or another.

Aahh.........speculation on the forward value of foreign currency!!

And if any of us were any good at that we would be sat on a megayacht in Cannes harbour surrounded by bikini clad beauties.....in fact make that a Cyberyacht....Wink

Just as likely is that Nigels prediction that other countries will want out and the £ will be surging against the euro....!!

    No speculation about it - a month ago £1 = $1.45, now $1.30
