Route back to A75 from Millau

Hi, we are travelling down to the south of france in a couple of weeks and are staying overnight at Millau. The route given by Michelin routes back to the A75 via what looks like a very hilly road. Has anyone travelled this road, is it suitable for towing?
or am I best to just go back to the A75 and over the bridge. Any advice would be appriiciated. Thanks.

    The 'very hilly road' was the main drag before the bridge was built and all traffic used that route. Just sensible gear and you'll be more than fine.

    If you mean, back up to the autoroute on the way south, it's absolutely fine.  Just don't worry about it.  Don't go back and over the bridge - there's really no need..  We love the route out of Millau - and that road has long been a favourite of the whole family as it was the  last stretch southin what was our favourite area of France. It's winding, but not particularly steep, and some of the views are spectacular.  Just take your time and enjoy it.  We once followed a circus van, with a hippopotamus on full view inside, and my sons still remember that years and years later (this was in the days before the A75 even existed).

    A75 route is fine. I use it every summer.

    As others have said the "hilly road" is fine. It is worth crossing the bridge once for the experience but it is expensive. Enjoy the road out of Millau because the views are stunning.

    Talking of Millau, we intend visiting the town on the way north in August and believe the market is held on a Friday and worth a visit. Afterwards, we will be leaving around mid-day so would appreciate advice on the best site given that we would want to
    be near the centre/market, have a pool and not have to travel through the market to leave.

    All the sites in Millau are well away from the market area, which is right in the centre of the town.  There is a 'by-pass' around the town centre, and the campsites are on a side road, off this by-pass!

    The nearest campsite to the centre is probably Deux Rivieres, which is just across the bridge, and then the nearby sites on the D187 which are alongside the River Tarn.  Indigo Millau and Les Rivages are on the opposite side of the bridge, alongside the
    Dourbie River (have a look on Google maps to see what I mean)

    ValDa - thanks for your help. I normally go further north and stop at an aire so was just checking whether there was a favourite/must use camp site. As it is only for 24 hr we will probably just stop at the first one which takes our fancy.

    millau markets are wednesday/friday/and brilliant night market on amonday through july/august,food bands craft stalls.

    Haha we are travelling down on a Monday so that just confused the issue further :)

    Thanks all for the advice, I will probably take the hilly scenic route, we can always go over the bridge another year, not driving the same return route home.
