There are a few sites in the area, the one favoured by most on here is the site nearest the ferry at Ouistreham now under new management Le Riva Bella (was Les Pommiers) they stay open for the last ferry and they are open for early departures. The other
one (I prefer) is Yelloh Village Les Haute Coutres its in the Acsi discount book for 19 euro per night, has a swimming pool good sanfacs. If you decide to use this site I would suggest you phone ahead and reserve a pitch, they will then leave a note for you
for the barrier and instructions of where to pitch. Both sites are within minutes of the ferry port.0 -
Just been to Riva Bella (Les Pommiers) they are staying open for 2130 arrivals, site tidier now, one toilet block being refurbished but others clean but old fashioned. (21.10 Euro) For anyone thinking of Haute Coutures they are closing in September earlier
than they used to.0 -
This has been discussed on an almost weekly basis however I used Riva Bella (formerly Pommiers) in April for the late arrival and this Tuesday along with dozens of others for the morning departure. The site is now in ACSI at €17 but not yet in the book.
There are improvments taking place under the new owners but also changes to office hours and it is closed for lunch 12 till 2 but the important spell in the evening until 10:30 is still in operation. That's good to know AD, I've checked Acsi online but its not mentioned on there either, I take it you got the info from the site itself?

I had read it on here and actually got the discount on the way back. Didn't know about it on the way out so didn't ask!

Thanks both good to know, by the time we are next across all the renovations will be completed I expect, might give it another try
AD closing for lunch is one of the things that I'm not keen on in France, I wish the Acsi book would mention it so you could at least plan around it, its not bad if they leave a note to just go in and pay later but if they have a barrier then just sitting
outside for a couple of hours is just not on, we just find another site. Not that you can do that here because of the ferry.0 -
Just returned yesterday. Stayed here and on the way out. ACSI is finished from thd 1st of July. Cost was €21.10 including tourist task. If stopping just for one night and you can do without ehu you will save €6. I thought that was an extortionate price for

electric for a few hours stay overnightGood to know Harry, 6 euro seems to be the amount a fair few sites are charging now, we came across it a few times in Spain Zaragoza being one (28 euro pn) as you say extortionate, cannot possibly use that amount overnight, we don't bother with electric
for one night if that's the charge and we don't have a SP.0
